Westgate Resorts Policies
Advanced Deposits
  • If owners choose to mail a personal check on a rental reservation, these reservations are held on a tentative basis and are subject to cancellation if the deposit is not received within ten (10) days after the reservation was booked.
  • Advanced deposits should be made payable to the resort and mailed to the resort address indicated on the reverse side of your confirmation. Please indicate your arrival date and reservation number on the check. Advanced deposits made via credit card will be billed at the time of booking.

Payment Policy
  • We accept the following forms of payment: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Optima and Carte Blanche. Payments may be made upon check-in.
  • Traveler's checks, money orders, personal checks or cashier's checks will be acceptable for your deposit or payment of your room. Balance of payment for all nights reserved must be made upon check-in.

Refund/Cancellation
  • Advanced deposits and payments of rental reservations are refunded provided your reservation is cancelled at least fourteen (14) days prior to your arrival date. Failure to arrive on your scheduled date or unexpected early departure may be subjected to a one-night fee. Internal exchange fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Check-In & Check-Out Times
  • Check-in is after 4:00 pm. Please present your confirmation to the front desk upon arrival.
  • Early check-in is based on availability. Early check-ins will not be allowed before 1:00 pm. If you arrive before your room is available, the front desk will gladly hold your luggage until your room is ready.
  • Checkout needs to be done before 10:00 am. Late checkouts are subject to an additional fee.

Pet Policies
One dog or one cat is allowed per unit at selected properties. Pet must not exceed 60 pounds.
  • At check-in, guests are required to inform the Front Desk that they have a pet. Guests are fully responsible for their pet's actions and any damages that may occur.
  • A $75.00 pet deposit is required at time of check-in and will be returned upon checkout as long as there is no damage.
  • All guests should notify the Front Desk when they plan to be out of the room with their pet. A cleaning fee of $80.00 will be charged upon checkout.
  • Pet should be supervised at all times while in the unit.
  • When pet is out of the unit and on property, it should be on a leash and under the control of the handler. The handler is responsible for picking up and properly disposing of any pet deposits.
  • The pet is not allowed in the Restaurants, Spa, Marketplace, Pool Areas, Game Rooms, and/or common retail space or amenities.

A guide to making an exchange through Interval International
Even when you own a luxury timeshare with Westgate Resorts, everyone enjoys a little variety now and then. And with your membership in Interval International, you have the opportunity to see the world!

Interval International has two primary methods for exchanging your timeshare week:
Deposit First gives you the flexibility of a four-year window in which to travel, beginning up to two years prior to the date of the week you're exchanging.

Request First allows you to hold on to your week until the reservation you want is confirmed and still allows you to travel from two years before your week is scheduled, right up until the date of your week.

Do I need to confirm my ownership week?
You must contact the resort at least 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival date to confirm occupancy. Please contact the Owner Reservations Department at 1-800-925-9999, 407-355-1105 or owner_reservations@wgresorts.com.


What if I need a larger unit or change my week dates?
If you would like a larger unit or vacation at a different time, there are 2 types of upgrades:
Seasonal- upgrading from off-season to peak-season.
Bedroom size- upgrading from a smaller unit to a larger unit.

I purchased this from someone. How can I get information on my new account?
If the person's name is not on the account, we are not allowed to provide any information. Please contact the resale company or owner to get any information on the account. Also, the attorney's office will send a document called an esttopel to Westgate which will include all information regarding his or her property.


Why won't Westgate rent my unit for me?
Westgate does not offer a rental or resale program, but you may try advertising in the newspaper or via the Internet. Some of our owners have advertised at their place of employment or rented to family members. Westgate is not affiliated with nor do we recommend any rental or resale companies. Please refer to the Acknowledgement of Representations document of your contract for details.
