CFO Tom Dugan Recognized as Central Florida’s Top C-Level Executive

Orlando Business Journal Recognizes Dugan for Work as Westgate’s Chief Financial Officer, Charity Endeavors

Westgate CFO Tom Dugan was honored at an awards luncheon today recognizing Central Florida’s top executives.  The annual affair is organized by the Orlando Business Journal (OBJ) and is an opportunity for hundreds of local and regional business professionals to recognize the best C-level executives for small, medium and large companies throughout the Central Florida Region.

The OBJ C-Level Awards bestows awards for top Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), and Chief Experience Officer (CXO).  A total of 28 executives were honored at the ceremony spanning five different award categories in five different “business-type” categories including government sector, non-profit sector, small, medium, and large business groups, respectively.  Of the 28 award winners, the top prize was awarded to Tom Dugan as Central Florida’s “C-Level Executive of the Year.”

This award recognized Tom for his role as Westgate’s Chief Financial Officer and his tireless and highly successful efforts to steer Westgate though the Great Recession of the past 6 years.  As a result, Westgate has experienced its most profitable year ever in 2013, and is on track to exceed this record year in 2014. Additionally, the nomination committee was also impressed with Tom’s philanthropic endeavors as a member of the David A. Siegel Society of the Westgate Resorts Foundation.

“I’m both honored and humbled to receive this award,” stated Dugan, “Our success is clearly a team effort and I am proud to be part of the best team in our industry”.

“We are very proud of Tom for earning this award,” added David Siegel, President and CEO of Westgate Resorts. “It not only reflects the great work he has done, but the tremendous turn-around our company has achieved over the past several years.”

A print version of the Orlando Business Journal, available sometime next week, will showcase detailed profiles of all the winners.
