Westgate Resorts Wins Most Valuable Employer for Military

Civilianjobs.com Announces the Recipients of the 2014 MVEs Ahead of Military Appreciation Month

Westgate Resorts has been recognized as one of the Most Valuable Employers (MVEs) for military and military families by Civilianjobs.com in a press release issued Wednesday.  The distinction allows members of our armed services to easily recognize and seek out employers who have made a firm commitment to helping military personnel make a seamless transition into a civilian career.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious award,” stated Westgate’s Chief Operating Officer and Captain USAFR Mark Waltrip, “We deeply respect the immense sacrifice that our men and women in uniform give to our country.  They understand the importance of service, honor, and integrity, and they bring a high level of leadership and technical skills that add tremendous value to our organization.”

The 2014 Most Valuable Employers Award was open to all U.S.-based companies.  The winners were selected based on which employers outlined their recruiting, retention, and training plans and how these strategies served the military service members they sought to attract.  Westgate Resorts will be recognized for this achievement in the May issue of Military Transition News, which is Civilianjobs.com’s world-wide military newspaper, reaching military personnel in over 100 countries.

“There are winners on both sides of these awards,” proclaimed Sandra Morris, CEO of Bradley-Morris, Inc., parent company of Civilianjobs.com, “First, the employers who are being recognized as MVEs for employing such high-value, military-experience employees.  Secondly, the military job seekers are also winners.  Civilianjobs.com received a record number of applications for the MVE awards this year and I am very pleased to see the pool of career opportunities for our veterans continue to grow.”

Westgate Resorts will also be recognized in an article written for Civilianjobs.com, to be published for Armed Forces Day on May 17th.
